Tuesday, noon.

Just goes to show you – the tropics never sleep.  It might not be safe to visit for a while.  Click here for Story

I had a salesman knock on my door this afternoon during lunch who was going door to door (actually, he skipped the other houses on my block which was odd, except my house was the only one that looked like someone was home).  Anyways, his pitch included force feeding me a 2 liter bottle of Coke.  He was completely thrown off his script when I told him I don’t drink Coke.  He suggested “giving it to the kids”.  Sorry, Buddy, you really picked the wrong pitch for the wrong house.  Kirby Pivotal carpet cleaning – bad salesman, bad pitch.

Smarter than your average bear

First of all, very little arrives in my mailbox that I don’t know about.  I have a hidden web cam in the mailbox so I can see if the mailman stops for longer than he should at my house.

Secondly, it’s my refrigerator.  I like my refrigerator.  I know where everything is.  I know where everything goes.  Again, very little happens in my refrigerator that I don’t know about.

And finally, I’ll be skipping dinner tonight just so I can fill up on dessert.

13 days to Christmas

I like Tuesday mornings.  Not as much as I like Saturday mornings.  Or maybe even Sunday mornings.  But Tuesdays aren’t bad.

I’m feeling pretty good today.  The sun is out.  The birds are singing.  Christmas is just around the corner.   I have a little shopping to do yet and we have quite a bit of wrapping to do.  Christmas takes on a whole different feel with a 3 year old.  Right now, Lily  wishes every day was Christmas.  It can’t get here soon enough.  She walks around singing “Joy to the World”.  She sings it wrong, but she still sings…

“Joy to the World, the World has come.  Let everything see again!”  I can’t explain it.  She thought she was so funny this morning – she changed everyone – I was Mommy.  Diane was Daddy.  She was Leo.  Leo was Lily.  Strange child.  We sat there at breakfast with her asking me, “Why are you going to work Mommy?”

I’ve paid my electric bill this morning – lowest it’s been in 7 months!

Want to know what the weather is like?  You know you do.  Well, if you don’t want to know – quit reading!  It’s gorgeous this morning.  Lily and I sat outside this morning before breakfast – it wasn’t quite 70 degrees and there wasn’t a cloud in the sky as the sun came up.  There’s a little breeze, just enough to cool you if you’re sitting in the sun.  Everything is still very, very green here.  The palms must love the weather because they are bright green and full.   So – now you know!
