12-12

I stopped at Books-a-Million at our mall today.  Couldn’t find a darn thing.  They should have stopped at 500,000.

On my way home from picking Lily up this afternoon, traffic slowed as all cars  funneled into a single lane.  To my right was this tiny, old lady – she must have been 95 years old.  (Very quicky, let me point out that I don’t think anyone under 90 is “old”.  And I reserve the right to change my mind on that at anytime).  She could barely see over the wheel and I would have been more than happy to let her into my lane as she was in the lane that was closed in the next quarter mile.  I waved.  I even tapped my horn.  No response or acknowledgement of my offer.  And it wasn’t because she couldn’t see me.  It wasn’t because she couldn’t hear.  The old lady was reading a book!  While driving!  For all I know, she didn’t even know her lane was ending.  She might have just thought we were all driving slow so we could read too.

I love our Christmas tree this year – lots of little ornaments that Lily has made at school.

I have seven Starbucks in my area.  Honestly, they are all about the same distance from my house.  By 9:30 am, I had visited and made a purchase at three of them.

Bummer about the weather in the mid section of the country.   Ice, freezing rain…yuck.  But it’s so pretty.  Until a tree crashes into your house.  Thank you, but I’ll take 75 degrees.  Great – snow on Christmas Eve – big deal.
