I’m back…sort of

I’ve made it to 7pm.  Kind of tired tonight.  I can usually get a little extra sleep on Thursdays.  Maybe just an extra half hour.  Not so today.

Still no internet at the office.  It went out around 9:30am and is still out.

I’ve thought of, and read dozens of things I wanted to post here today but without my computer, those ramblings are lost forever.

Except one… it occurred to me that wind chimes might just be for people too stupid to know if it’s windy out.

At dinner tonight, Lily was getting a bit, shall we say…”high spirited”.  We tried to get her to calm it down but she was insisting that everything was hilarious and she was laughing hysterically…and in an exaggerated way.  “Calm it down, Lily”  I kept telling her.  Finally, after a minute or two, I think she spilled something or dropped a bite of food and I said one more time – “Lily, that’s enough”.  She kept on and I said, “I’ll bet you won’t think it’s funny when you are sitting on time out”.

Then her mother started to laugh.  I don’t know about you…but when one parent tries to get tough and the other laughs at them – it’s like Kryptonite.  I was weakened.  No power at all.

Young Leo might not be feeling good.  His eating and sleeping are off today and he’s not quite as happy.  He’s been working on solid foods this week.  In addition to the rice cereal, he’s trying sweet potatoes and apple sauce.  Might have overdone it on the sweet potatoes.  Of course, it looks like he has two teeth possibly coming in.  They aren’t in the typical front and center spot, so we aren’t sure.

Have a nice night!

Be vewy, vewy quiet…

Sorry, the fine folks at Verizon are having internet issues this morning and I have no connection at the office. I’d love to tell you all about my morning and share what is in today’s paperm. But the fact of the matter is, I don’t have the same resources available to me when I have to blog by cell phone. So, until I have a computer you’ll have to do what everyone else does at work…work!
