Is this what it’s all about?

I had a moment to think that tonight.  Lily was still in the tub and she asked me to go get her “Saturday underwear” and her long pink pajamas.  I’m picking through her underwear drawer looking for the pair printed with Saturday and I’m thinking to myself, “what has happened to me?” 

I found the underwear and went back into the bathroom where Lily was still sitting in the tub.  I showed her the pajamas I had picked out.  “No, not those.  The pink one that’s long”.  Ok.  Back to the drawer for another nightgown.  “No.  The pink one that’s long and drags on the ground.”

That was about when I thought, for just a second, “Is this what I’ve been reduced to?”

Finally Friday

I think, although I’m at work, I’d rather be here than there.  Let’s just say that.  The northeast is socked in due to weather.  Flights are cancelled.  Meanwhile, it’s nice here.

I left this morning without my wallet.  Which means I left without any money and I really, really, really wanted a nice hot cup of coffee this morning.  Fortunately, my Grandmother saved the day.  I have the Starbucks card she gave me tucked away in my car for just such an emergency.  Thanks Grandma!

The weekend is upon us.   I, personally, plan on planting the garden.  It’s late February and the weather has been just beautiful.  We had a full moon the other day, the ground is warming up – time to get the veggies going.

Lily is at school this morning.  They have a guest bringing in snakes and other creepy crawlies.  Lily is excited.

Leo is a little dude on the move.  Forward, backward, around in circles.  He was up late last night and didn’t sleep very much during the day.  I’ve given up blaming teeth – there is no sign of a tooth in there at all.  So it’s not that.  But his little personality has really come out the last several weeks.   I love his giggle.  And I love the way he acts surprised when he slams his hands down in the bath water and makes a splash.
