Just wanted to get this down so I don’t forget it…
We stopped at Lowe’s late this afternoon. Diane and Leo ran inside and Lily went with me to look at the sheds they had on display. The doors to the sheds were closed and as Lily and I approached the first one, she stopped and said, “Wait”. I asked why and she said, “Because you never know when a bear might be going potty in there”.
Me thinks I might pass on the lemon in my water. And in my tea. And I’m sure I’m going to pass on New Jersey.
Tornado Watch until 11pm tonight. The weather was actually not too bad most of the day. Lily and I spent an hour in the hottub despite the rain. It’s been windy most of the day and it looks like thunderstorms coming overnight.
I didn’t get around to the Volvo. I made an appointment for Thursday morning in Lakeland. I can’t promise I won’t trade it in between here and Lakeland.
Leo is all over the place. Have I mentioned his favorite thing to go for is any power cord? Turn your head for one second, and he’s got a mouth full of power cord. Doesn’t matter if it’s the laptop, the lamp – whatever he can get to. He might really start thinking about getting up on his hands and knees a little better. Poor little guy is going to give himself rug burn the way he’s moving. I’ll see if I can post some video tonight.
No power outtage here today. Parts of Tampa were affected but not us. At least not yet. Of course, that wasn’t the big story on our news. Our local CBS station lost a weatherman today. Dick Fletcher died after suffering his second stroke. In fact, that station is airing a one hour tribute to him tonight during primetime.
So – I try and do something nice for Diane and come home a little early for lunch so she can run to a store she’s been wanting a little time at. Seems having me and Lily and Leo isn’t exactly conducive to a productive trip.
I get home – hugs, kisses – mom is off to the store.
She’s back in 3 minutes. Volvo is dead. Again.
I’ve made an appointment in Lakeland (it’s an hour away for this stupid thing) for Thursday morning. I’m sure it’s the battery. The only questions is why does this keep happening.
Diane has gone ahead with her shopping plans and took the Big Girl car. I’m making grilled cheese sandwiches for lunch and getting ready to put Lily down for a nap.
Not sure if I’ll go back to work or not.

We’re up. Looks to be a bit hazy out this morning. I think we have a good chance of rain too. Probably just as well – with everything blooming like it is, the rain may keep the pollen down for those folks who suffer. Actually, I’m not so much concerned with their suffering as I am their complaining.
Tuesday….let’s see…Tuesdays are generally a little slower. It’s a good day to get caught up. Might even be a good day to blog!
